We all need a break to “recharge our mental batteries.” Even if you can only get away for a few hours, a mental break from the frantic pace of daily life can both relax us and renew us. |

Holiday Dining on a Dime (well, not quite a dime, but…) |
Holiday entertaining doesn’t have to be a huge ordeal, nor does the meal need to be extravagant or expensive. Naturally, you want to serve delicious food, but you can do that within your budget -- if you plan and shop carefully.
Here are some simple ways to host a memorable gathering on even the leanest income.
- Review grocery store sale flyers before planning your menu. Store coupons in conjunction with your local grocer’s “rewards” card can add up to big savings.
- Look up recipes to see if making your dishes from scratch will be less expensive than buying pre-packaged foods. Making your shopping list based on recipe ingredients also means you’ll be less likely to buy spur-of-the moment extras.
